Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Holloway

Man with Van Holloway is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations in a lawful, ethical, and socially responsible manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we take, and will continue to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. It applies to all employees, agency staff, contractors, and suppliers engaged with Man with Van Holloway.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, bonded labour, servitude, child labour that is exploitative, and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any individual or organisation that participates in or benefits from such practices. Our commitment is to treat everyone who works for and with us with dignity, respect, and fairness, and to uphold internationally recognised human rights standards.

All team members and business partners are expected to act with integrity and to uphold this policy in every decision they make on behalf of Man with Van Holloway. Any breach of this policy is treated as a serious matter and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contracts.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Holloway provides man and van services, removals, and related logistics activities. While our direct operations are relatively simple and localised, we work with a range of suppliers and partners, including vehicle providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, subcontracted drivers or porters, and providers of uniforms, packaging, and other materials.

We recognise that risks of modern slavery can occur at various stages of supply chains, particularly where there are complex subcontracting arrangements, low-wage labour, or limited oversight. This understanding informs our approach to supplier engagement and management.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and contractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of our supplier management process, we assess new and existing suppliers against ethical and labour standards. Our approach includes:

Conducting risk-based due diligence on suppliers, with greater scrutiny where there is a higher risk of labour exploitation. Requiring suppliers, where appropriate, to confirm that they comply with all applicable labour and human rights laws and that they have policies and procedures in place to prevent modern slavery. Reserving the right to request additional information and documentation relating to recruitment practices, working conditions, subcontracting, and grievance mechanisms.

We also reserve the right to carry out audits or request third-party audits of suppliers where we identify a potential risk. If a supplier fails to meet our standards or refuses to co-operate with our efforts to investigate concerns, we may suspend or terminate our relationship with that supplier.

Reporting Concerns and Protection

We encourage all employees, contractors, and business partners to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking linked to our operations or supply chains. Concerns can be raised to line managers, senior management, or designated compliance contacts within the business.

Man with Van Holloway is committed to ensuring that individuals who raise concerns in good faith are not subjected to any form of retaliation, victimisation, or detrimental treatment. Reports will be treated seriously, handled as sensitively as possible, and investigated promptly. Where appropriate, we will take remedial action and, if required, co-operate with relevant authorities.

Training and Awareness

We aim to build awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce, particularly those who are involved in recruitment, supplier selection, or day-to-day management of subcontractors. Training and guidance are used to help staff recognise indicators of exploitation, understand how to escalate concerns, and appreciate their role in maintaining ethical business practices.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery. This statement, along with our supporting policies and procedures, is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains effective, relevant, and proportionate to the nature and scale of our operations.

As part of the annual review, we will consider feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders; any incidents or complaints raised; the effectiveness of our due diligence and audits; and any changes in legislation or industry best practice. Where necessary, we will update our procedures, strengthen controls, and enhance training to better prevent and respond to modern slavery risks.

This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Holloway and represents our ongoing commitment to ethical conduct and respect for human rights throughout our business and supply chains.
